Chiefs’ Spencer Ware, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif have injuries

Spencer Ware has a sprained toe but Andy Reid says it won’t keep him out of the Kansas City Chiefs Week 2 game against the Houston Texans. Whew, that freaked me out there for a minute but Reid said he will be OK for Sunday.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif’s high ankle sprain could be an issue this week. Those vary from minor injuries to ones that take weeks. If he doesn’t go, Zach Fulton would be the next man up, per Reid. Fulton is a pretty good backup with a season starting for the Chiefs already under his belt. I wouldn’t mind seeing Jah Reid getting some looks at guard either.

It’s a bad deal for LDT because he had a strong start to the season. We were really excited about the development he’s made this year. Here’s to hoping this isn’t going to create any issues down the road this season.
