The Kansas City Chiefs have a good roster. They’re deep at a few key areas. They have some playmakers. Once Jamaal Charles and Justin Houston get back, they’ll have more playmakers. They’re well-coached.
This is a team that should win a lot of games, right? Correct. They absolutely should. Alex Smith was on the Chiefs Kingdom Show on Monday night and said what we all know: this team can win a lot of games.
“I don’t think we always want to be the comeback kids,” Alex said. “That’s not what we’re striving for. I think it’s something we always talk about as a team is we know the way we’re capable of playing and we know what that looks like. We know if we play that way, man, we’re tough to beat and we’re going to win a lot of games ... Easy to talk about but you have to go out and do it.”
He’s talking about the second half of course when the Chiefs came back from 17 down in the fourth quarter and scored 30 points in the final 23 minutes. That’s pretty good! Not many teams will beat them if they play like that for four quarters. Let’s hope that this was the early season stinker that Andy Reid seems to have each year and the Chiefs came away with a win.
