The Kansas City Chiefs quarterbacks threw some passes to the receivers in a drill at training camp this afternoon. I watched a few minutes of the drill and recorded it on our Facebook page. You can watch the video at the bottom of the page.
A few of my observations:
Nice pass breakup from Steven Nelson. He had a few of those today.
About 1:15 into the video, Travis Kelce lines up on Marcus Peters. He beats him inside for a touchdown on the goal line and then Kelce starts flexing for the fans. Kelce also beat DJ White later on in the video. He is not an easy man to stop -- he's big but really he knows how to use his body.
The next play, check out Alex Smith's perfect pass to Jeremy Maclin over Phillip Gaines. Good looking pass.
The play after that we get this nice comeback catch from Mike Williams:
Similar to the Williams catch, Chris Conley had a great comeback catch on Marcus Peters. There was about six inches where that ball could fit and it was right there.
De'Anthony Thomas showed off his quickness with a cut inside to win the battle and make the catch.
There's some quick video of me and BJ walking to the other side of the field and then I had to stop filming (we're not supposed to show 11-on-11).
