We are almost a week into training camp so let’s check in on the Kansas City Chiefs injury report. They don’t actually issue an injury report but there are a few players dealing with injuries:
Tamba Hali had offseason knee surgery and hasn’t practiced yet this camp. Jamaal Charles has yet to practice as well after his ACL surgery last year. The Chiefs say they are taking each day by day. They are both veterans. There is no concern about their availability for the season as far as I know.
Albert Wilson left Tuesday’s practice with a strained calf. He did not practice on Wednesday either. It’s not too bad, according to Andy Reid, so nothing too serious. Any injury for someone in a position battle can be tough. Wilson is hoping to be the Chiefs top receiver option after Jeremy Maclin.
Parker Ehinger left practice early on Tuesday with a foot strain but he was back on Wednesday.
Daniel Sorensen left Tuesday’s practice early with a foot strain and did not return on Wednesday. With Eric Berry out as well, the Chiefs safeties are getting plenty of reps.
While we’re, Justin Houston remains out. He’s not expected to practice at all during camp and likely not at the beginning of the season either.
