NFL teams will need to go from 90 to 75 players by 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Tuesday afternoon. By Saturday afternoon (September 3), the Kansas CityChiefs and every other team will need to be down to 53 players, along with a 10-man practice squad the next day. Suffice to say, this is a busy time period for coaches and front offices.
Find the Chiefs eight roster cuts here.
We are tracking the cuts around the league that are of interest to the Chiefs or are just plain interesting. We’ll keep an eye on any big name players but most of the bigger name players will be released on Saturday’s cut down. We will also keep an eye on the Eagles cuts as they could be of interest to the Chiefs considering Doug Pederson was in KC the past three seasons and of course Andy Reid’s ties there.
