The Kansas City Chiefs released eight players on Sunday. By my count - never assume my counting is accurate - the Chiefs have 81 players on the roster as of this moment. They’ll need to cut down to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon. Six more cuts are coming. Here are the Chiefs first eight cuts from Sunday.
Andy Reid was asked about someone on the depth chart earlier this week and he said, “That was all Ted Crews. I have nothing to do with that stuff.” No not that Ted Cruz ... the Chiefs’ Ted Crews is the head of PR, who supposedly does the depth chart. It seems odd to me that Andy Reid obsesses over all the smallest details of his team and coordinates practices down to the minute and discusses media strategy with the PR staff and then ... he just doesn’t care about the depth chart, one of the most public-facing parts of the team? I mean, maybe that’s the case but it doesn’t really add up for me.
