The Kansas City Chiefs have just traded for a cornerback. According to Andy Reid, the San Francisco 49ers are sending CB Kenneth Acker to Kansas City in exchange for what is likely a conditional draft pick.

Acker is listed at 6’, 195-pound cornerback out of SMU, which is where Chiefs owner Clark Hunt went to school.
Acker (6'0", 195 pounds) was a sixth round pick by the #49ers out of SMU in 2014. Spent 2014 on IR, had 3 INTs (tied for team lead) in 2015.

A lot of times these conditional picks are based on whether the player makes the 53-man roster. (Update: Adam Schefter says it’s for a 7th round pick in 2018)
The Chiefs will cut down from 90 players to 75 by August 30 and then by September 3 they will be down to 53 players.
More coming.
