For the first time since I can drive, the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing a football game in Los Angeles. The Rams relocated from St. Louis and will host the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night. The game can be seen on KCTV-5 locally and it looks like NFL Network will also cut in.
The Chiefs say their last regular season visit to Los Angeles came November 10, 1991 at Anaheim Stadium. (To play the Rams. Technically, Anaheim. They were in Los Angeles after that for the Raiders. I made this way more confusing than it needed to be) The picture above shows you how long ago that was — Marlboro was a sponsor inside the stadium.
Hard Knocks will be filming as they’re featuring the Rams this year. I suspect that the return of Nick Foles will be a Hard Knocks story line so we’ll be watching HBO next Tuesday to see how much this game is featured.

The Chiefs defense will have a few interesting tests. The first one is the first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Jared Goff, who is expected to get some first team reps. The Chiefs are without Justin Houston, Tamba Hali and Eric Berry but they still have a strong defense. The second test is Todd Gurley, the Rams running back who is making his preseason debut against the Chiefs. The Chiefs had some run defense issues last week against the Seattle Seahawks so this will be a good test.

The Chiefs first teamers are expected to play roughly the entire first half, which is what Andy Reid has historically done. This should be fun to watch because last week the first team offense only played one series where they went down and scored a touchdown. Defensively, Marcus Peters picked off Russell Wilson. Can MP22 pick up another interception this week?
The Chiefs second team will get the third quarter and that includes Nick Foles. The third team will finish up the game.
