Chiefs asst. head coach says Tyreek Hill is faster than advertised

The Kansas City Chiefs assistants spoke to the media on Wednesday, which includes WR coach and assistant head coach David Culley. He’s been with Andy Reid for a long time so I like listening to what he has to say. And it doesn’t hurt that he coaches arguably the most intriguing position group on the team - the receivers.

Culley was asked if he’s had any pleasant surprises so far.

“Well, no surprises,” Culley said via quotes from the Chiefs. “I’ve expected what I’ve gotten from those guys.”

Wait! There is one surprise...

“I knew when we drafted Tyreek Hill that we were drafting a guy that was fast,” Culley continued. “Since he’s been here, he’s probably a little bit faster than what I thought or seen on tape. He’s been progressing very well. Other than that, basically, it’s been good.”

It makes me feel like I know what I’m talking about when I see one of the coaches make the same observation I have. Already I’m getting excited to see Tyreek touch the ball this weekend. The Chiefs only threw to him twice last week; they should at least double that this weekend in Los Angeles.
