Jeremy Maclin didn’t practice on Wednesday because of a groin injury. The Kansas City Chiefs say he is day to day.

First off, let me say WHEW! I’m glad to hear that his injury is not serious. Maclin wasn’t among those in pads this morning which of course freaked us out a little. I got the feeling it wasn’t serious because we hadn’t heard of any injury to him the day before but it’s still a relief to hear the Chiefs say it.
Maclin was banged up briefly last week and we saw the Chiefs season flash before our eyes. He is so, so important to the team, one of the few most important players to the Chiefs success this year.
No word yet if this will affect Maclin’s availability for Saturday’s preseason game in Los Angeles. I wouldn’t be surprised if it did because there’s no reason for the Chiefs to push Maclin, a veteran, in the preseason.
