Chiefs depth chart moves Nick Foles to No. 2 quarterback

The Kansas City Chiefs first depth chart came out last week and Nick Foles was listed as the No. 4 quarterback behind Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray but we knew that didn’t reflect reality as Foles had been taking more and more of the No. 2 quarterbacks reps.

The Chiefs second depth chart is out this week ahead of Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams and reality has set in. Foles is listed as the No. 2 followed by Tyler Bray, Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan.

Andy Reid doesn’t seem to put much stock in the depth chart. At least this public-facing version. I’m sure they have their own private version which is reflected in practice reps.

The Chiefs have a number of players listed in the top spot at their position who aren’t participating yet, including Tamba Hali, Justin Houston, Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry. Josh Mauga, injured for the first preseason game, is a listed starter who didn’t play last week.
