The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback depth chart is coming together. Andy Reid has declared part of his depth chart for the first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday.
Alex Smith and the first team will play the first quarter. Nick Foles is up next leading the second team in the second quarter. The third team will handle the second half, which is supposed to include all three quarterbacks remaining. I would assume Tyler Bray is next in line here. The Chiefs also want to get Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan some snaps so we’ll see how it goes.
I’m excited to see a little bit of the Chiefs first team offense against the Seahawks. Remember, Jamaal Charles isn’t participating yet so this isn’t the Chiefs real offense. The offensive line will have a nice challenge in the Seahawks.
Foles is your No. 2 quarterback. We knew that when they brought him in. Now that the games are here, he will be the No. 2.
Bray’s playing time will be fascinating to me. He hasn’t played in a game in two years. He’s looked good in camp but that’s not a real live game. This is the part of the game I’ll be looking forward to the most. The third teamers fighting for a job is fun too.
