Someone ranked the Kansas City Chiefs defensive line too low

If you asked a Kansas City Chiefs fan where the Chiefs defensive line ranks in the NFL, you’d probably hear top five. Dontari Poe is a freak athlete, Allen Bailey and Jaye Howard have each earned second contracts and GM John Dorsey just added second round pick Chris Jones to the group. There’s a lot of athleticism and versatility there.

NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal recently ranked the defensive lines around the league and put the Chiefs at .... 12th? Way too low.

Defensive lines that are better than the Chiefs: Rams, Jets, Bengals and Panthers. You could give me an argument for the Eagles and Seahawks. The others? It’s definitely arguable where they should rank.

I’m really, really excited about the Chiefs defensive line this year. I would’ve said the same about their outside linebackers the past few years but this year it’s the d-line. This looks like the strongest position group on the team.

Two defensive lines that did not make the top 12 - JJ Watt and the Texans and whoever is left on the Broncos after everyone left in free agency. That makes me feel a little better.
