Andre Johnson is a free agent, apparently still wants to play

I forgot that Andre Johnson was still playing. Or still wants to play. After 12 seasons in Houston, Johnson went to the Colts last season but was released early this offseason after just one season.

Johnson is working out, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. Presumably he’s working out because he wants to play in 2016.

No, I don’t think the Chiefs are going to sign him. He’s 35 years old next week and isn’t the type of player the Chiefs are looking for at this point. In his prime, yes, I would have loved him. But not now.

Pro Football Talk pointed out that he is close to moving past a few prominent players in the record books. He needs 26 more catches to pass Terrell Owens and Reggie Wayne in catches (sixth all-time). He needs 481 yards to move ahead of Wayne and Marvin Harrison in all-time yards (seventh all-time).
