Colin Cowherd + Alex Smith = I’m just here to watch this place burn.
Colin Cowherd ranks the NFL QBs in five tiers. Where does #Chiefs QB Alex Smith stand? @TheHerdhttps://t.co/ijLCZkTcl8

Cowherd, who annoys no one, ranked the quarterbacks in the NFL in five tiers - from the top stars to a certain former Bronco who now resides in Houston.
This means that we need to be upset about where Alex Smith is ranked but it’s actually OK. He’s right in the middle of the pack. That’s not way too low or way too high. Somewhere right around the middle or a few spots above average.
The only thing that stands out to me here is that I would take Alex Smith over Eli Manning. Yeah, I said it.
Anyway, here’s the list. I’m just here for the pageviews.
Stars in their prime
Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson
Stars out of their prime
Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Carson Palmer
Close but never stars
Alex Smith, Joe Flacco, Matt Stafford, Jay Cutler, Matt Ryan
Could be stars
Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, Blake Bortles
Fool’s gold
Brock Osweiler, Andy Dalton, Kirk Cousins, Ryan Tannehill
