We interrupt your Friday with some brief Eric Berry ... news.
Kind of, not really news.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that Berry and the Chiefs continue to talk ahead of the 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) deadline.
The #KCChiefs & Eric Berry are still working, trying to hash out a long-term extension. Not there yet, but will be working to the deadline.

Until I see that clock strike 3:01 p.m., I’m going to believe a deal can get done. Clearly, if they’re still talking hours before the deadline then there’s a possibility this gets done. It’s also possible, as we heard is likely from various reports this week, that they won’t get a deal done.
Stay tuned.
Update: .... or not?
I'm told the #Chiefs and Eric Berry haven't been in contact at all today. Still remain miles apart on reaching a long-term agreement.
