You can blame the Kansas City Chiefs for drafting Todd Blackledge in 1983 over other quarterbacks such as Dan Marino and Jim Kelly. You can't blame the Kansas City Royals for not drafting an elite quarterback ... they were just a few years early. And the wrong sport.
