The Kansas City Chiefs had been giving Tyler Bray most of the No. 2 quarterback reps so far this offseason. Andy Reid and the Chiefs coaching staff switched it up in this final week of OTAs and gave Aaron Murray the No. 2 snaps on Tuesday.
#Chiefs QB Aaron Murray said he was told this morning he would take the No. 2 repetitions. Stressed it was an "open competition."

Aaron Murray says he was told he's get a chance to be the No. 2 QB today. He got the majority of the work instead of Bray behind Alex.

This is notable but it shouldn't be a surprise. We knew this was going to be a competition. For as physically gifted as Bray is, he finished on IR the past two seasons. He's still an unknown but he was a "pup" as Andy Reid called him when he came out. Murray hasn't taken an NFL snap nor has rookie Kevin Hogan. This competition is still a ways from being done. Getting into training camp and the preseason where the bullets are really flying will be a better indicator.
