The Kansas City Chiefs will finish up their final round of OTAs this week. The Chiefs have four more practices this week which will make it 10 total for the offseason. The Chiefs aren't done after that as they'll still have mandatory minicamp next week before breaking for the summer.
OTAs: May 24-26, May 31, June 1-2, June 7-10
Mandatory minicamp: June 14-16
Four straight practices is more than the Chiefs have had in a row this offseason so they should get some good work in. It's also supposed to be nice out all week so the rain won't force them into the practice bubble as it has before.
This week's OTAs we will continue to look for who shows up and who is lining up at which positions. The offensive line is one spot that could see some changes. The Chiefs swapped out guards - rookie Parker Ehinger for Zach Fulton - from week one to week two. Any other o-line changes coming this week?
It's great to talk about who is doing well and who isn't but the truth is they're in shorts and a helmet and there is no tackling. In my experience these practices aren't very predictive for the reason. A good OTA performance doesn't necessarily mean a good season is coming. Likewise, a bad performance doesn't mean all is lost (unless you're an UDFA trying to make the team ... you might be in trouble then).
