If there was an award given to the player or coach who overcomes the most adversity to succeed, who do you think it would be?
Yeah, I know, too.
.@Chiefs Eric Berry, who overcame diagnosis of lymphoma to have All-NFL season in 2015, is PFWA's 2016 George Halas Award winner.

Duh. Berry overcame cancer to have an All-Pro season. Not too shabby at all.
Meanwhile, the next big news we’re waiting to hear about Berry is his contract. He and the Chiefs are negotiating now as he has been hit with the franchise tag, which he has not signed. Berry has until July 15 to sign a long-term deal with the Chiefs or else he must play out the 2016 season under that one-year tender.
