Former Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine is out of work and visited the Kansas City Chiefs for a couple of days this week, Andy Reid told reporters.
Reid confirmed that former Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine was at the #Chiefs practice yesterday. Has a history w/ DC Bob Sutton.— BJ Kissel (@ChiefsReporter) June 2, 2016
The connection is to Bob Sutton, who both worked with the New York Jets from 2009-12. Sutton was the linebackers coach and defensive assistant while Pettine was the Jets defensive coordinator.
It doesn't sound like the Chiefs are getting ready to hire him. He's out of work and visiting friends, Andy Reid said via the Star.
