Chiefs worked out free agent Da'Quan Bowers recently, per report

The Kansas City Chiefs work out a lot of free agents as they continue their search for the next hidden gem. One of those potential gems is former Buccaneers DE Da'Quan Bowers who reportedly worked out for the Chiefs recently. This according to sports reporter Jayson Braddock.

Bowers was a hyped recruit when he chose to go to Clemson and there was even more hype before the 2011 draft when there was talk he could be the No. 1 overall pick. Instead Bowers fell to the second round where the Bucs selected him. He has just 10 starts and seven sacks since he entered the NFL. Clearly he didn't live up to expectations but the Chiefs are seeing if the 6'4, 288-pound defensive end can still contribute.

The Chiefs didn't sign him despite the workout last week so he remains a free agent. Mike DeVito remains a free agent so the Chiefs could probably still use one more veteran defensive lineman to add to the rotation.
