UDFA signings 2016: Tracking Kansas City Chiefs undrafted free agent signings

We go from the NFL Draft season to 2016 undrafted free agent signings season. We're tracking all the Kansas City Chiefs UDFA signings as we do every year. These are the players that are eligible for the 2016 NFL Draft but did not get drafted. We'll have a list of best available players remaining after the draft. Find a list of all the 2016 NFL Draft picks here.

I bet some of these UDFA signings will come from this list, which includes the players that visited the Chiefs (that we know about) or that the Chiefs worked out. GM John Dorsey seemed to use a lot of visits and workouts this year for players that were likely to be UDFAs.

Important note: These aren't official yet. This time is notorious for players deciding on one team and then choosing another or a reporter getting the UDFA signing wrong or confusing a rookie minicamp invite for an actual signing. We'll collect all the rumors here and the Chiefs will confirm them at some point in the future.

These players can sign with any team that offers them. Sometimes it might even be better to be an undrafted free agent rather than a late seventh round pick because you can pick the best fit for you.

The Chiefs have had some success with undrafted fre agents. Look at WR Albert Wilson who is competing to be the Chiefs No. 2 receiver and was an undrafted free agent out of Georgia State a few years ago. There's also LB Justin March, who looked good last training camp until a knee injury sidelined him. There will be a player or two here that stick and make the roster. Some of the others could make up the practice squad.

Some players will receive signing bonuses. The more you want a player the more you'll pay them in a signing bonus. We won't see a frenzy like OL La'el Collins last year, who shockingly went undrafted and ended up going to the Dallas Cowboys.
