With the 162nd pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Stanford QB Kevin Hogan.
There's your quarterback. It was rumored that the Chiefs were one of the teams (along with the Cowboys) trying to trade up in the first round for Memphis QB Paxton Lynch. The Broncos ended up moving up to get him.
So the Chiefs now get Hogan, who went to Stanford. He will be the fourth quarterback behind Alex Smith, Aaron Murray and Tyler Bray. The Chiefs will probably only carry three quarterbacks so we'll have a competition for that final spot.
What's his potential? NFL Network's Mike Mayock put it like this:
"He can carry a clip board for 10 years in this league." -- Mike Mayock on Kevin Hogan, No. 162 pick of Chiefs
