NFL Draft grade: PFF calls Chiefs pick Chris Jones the 'steal of the draft'

It's good when the first pick of your draft is called the steal of the draft. That's the case with Mississippi State DT Chris Jones and Pro Football Focus who says he could be the steal of the draft.

Most are talking about Jones' potential, what he can be with the right coaching in the NFL. His college coach Dan Mullen said that he could've been a top five pick next year.

"Jones has immense potential, already posting the No. 2 pass rush grade in the nation last year, but still showing room to improve from a technique standpoint," PFF wrote. "He's strong and explosive and his two-year grades on about 1,000 snaps are comparable to the best interior defensive linemen in the class. This could end up being the steal of the draft."

He was No. 12 on the PFF draft board.

The Chiefs just promoted Andy Reid's son, Britt, to defensive line coach. Tommy Brasher is still doing special projects with the team but I'm not sure what that means. This is a big shot for Britt Reid to have the spotlight on his pupil.

Head on over to this post to see how Chiefs fans are grading the pick.
