With the 29th pick in the 2016 Arrowhead Pride mock draft, Cardinals GM Avs29 selects...
Alabama C Ryan Kelly
The Cardinals have good depth at center but with no clear cut starting caliber players at the position Kelly makes the most sense here at 29. His good technique along with his leadership and communication skills favor him to start early in his career. While he could use a year in a NFL Conditioning Program to take that next step as a player he is the most complete center in the draft with arguably the highest ceiling.
Kelly moves fluidly in space, giving him no issues moving up to the second level to pave the way for his running backs and mirrors defenders well in pass protection. Having not allowed a sack in the past two years while playing in the toughest conference in college football Kelly has the potential to be a great to elite Center for years to come.
One could argue they take a QB here to replace an aging Palmer in a couple years but the Cardinals take no time turning in this pick to boost their O-line. Potentially setting up perfectly to draft a rookie QB in next years draft.
