Chiefs draft predictions: Cornerback and defensive line are the most popular picks

2016 NFL mock drafts still aren't sure about the Kansas City Chiefs 2016 first round selection. SB Nation has been collecting various mock drafts around the Internet and tracking who draft experts are sending to the KC Chiefs. The most popular selection is CB Eli Apple following by a couple more cornerbacks in Mackensie Alexander and William Jackson.

Based on the mocks we've seen lately, Alexander is likely to be available with the Chiefs 28th pick. Some are saying that he won't be a first round pick. Jackson, however, doesn't seem likely to be available. He's been mocked in the first half of the first round often. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go as high as 14th to the Raiders.

The defensive linemen are under represented here. In fact, I think defensive line is just as likely as cornerback at this point. If we look back to John Dorsey's last three drafts it's clear he drafts a premium position to replace someone leaving or potentially leaving in free agency. This year, a Dontari Poe replacement fits that mold. Andy Reid has historically gone with the big guys in the first round too.

Here's who they're picking so far and here's a list of the mock drafts used.
