ESPN's Mel Kiper and Todd McShay did a 2016 NFL mock draft together where they rotated picks. There are some interesting selections in here but the Chiefs isn't all that surprising. Because everyone and their mother picks cornerback for the Chiefs, it's no surprise to see Ohio State CB Eli Apple as the pick for the Chiefs.
We're at the point where so many people seem so convinced that the Chiefs are taking a cornerback that it's probably not going to happen. Doesn't seem like the Chiefs ever pick who we think they'll pick. Are we over thinking this? Maybe we are.
A few other things about this mock:
CB Mackensie Alexander isn't in the first round very often anymore.
William Jackson III falls to 20. He's been going in the top 15 in a lot of mocks lately.
S Karl Joseph off the board too.
There's talk that OT Jack Conklin could be the second OT taken.
QB Paxton Lynch available when the Chiefs pick? Hmm....
