John Dorsey's annual pre-draft press conference is scheduled for this Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs have announced. The Chiefs said that Dorsey will meet the media at 11 a.m. (Arrowhead Time) so stick around for updates around then.
We haven't talked to Dorsey for a few weeks so we do have plenty of questions. Unfortunately, the Chiefs GM is even more tight-lipped than usual this time of year and that's saying a lot. In short, don't expect a lot of specific information.xpect a lot of specfici
We want to know who the Chiefs will be drafting. I did ask Dorsey directly a few weeks ago who they would be taking and he laughed and said the best player available. Yeah, don't count on him telling us.
We also want to know if the Chiefs have made a decision on Eric Fisher's fifth year option. There's little reason not to pick it up because it's guaranteed for injury only and the chances of Fisher getting injured and missing the 2017 season are slim. However, Dorsey said a few weeks ago that they still haven't made their minds up. The deadline to decide on his 2017 option is May 2.
What else do we want to know?
