2016 NFL mock draft: Rex Ryan stays with Clemson with DE Shaq Lawson

With the 19th pick in the 2016 Arrowhead Pride mock draft, Bills GM johandsome selects...

Let’s face it, the Bills’ marriage with Mario Williams was at times, difficult to justify. His production fell off dramatically under Rex Ryan and he openly criticized Ryan’s schemes. Ryan is a defensive guy first. He loves to rush the passer and he loves him some Clemson Tigers. I believe Shaq Lawson has been on Ryan’s mind for months now.

SHAQ is 6’3, 269 pound bruising pass rusher with the size and power to shed blocks and get to the quarterback. With surprising speed for his size, his best asset is his strength and toughness; never missing a game due to injury in his three years at Clemson. Shaq was an explosive All American who tied for second in sacks for Division I players in 2015 with 13. Over his three seasons at Clemson, he recorded an impressive 46 TFLs despite only starting for one. This pick immediately fills the hole left by Mario and takes them to a nice even 10 of their last 14 picks from the ACC.

Possible alternative picks: Louisville DT Sheldon Rankins, Georgia LB Leonard Floyd
