2016 NFL mock draft: Atlanta Falcons add Alabama linebacker in round one

With the 17th pick in the 2016 Arrowhead Pride mock draft, Falcons GM strunkflugget selects...

Alabama LB Reggie Ragland

Falcons really need some upgrades along the front seven. Paul Worrilow had some pretty horrendous PFF grades last year, so enter Ragland, a day-one starter at MLB. Great college production with nearly 200 total tackles over the last two seasons. Also has some underrated pass-rushing ability, which might allow him to stay on the field for all three downs despite not being stellar in coverage. Considered an edge rusher here, but they already invested a first rounder in Vic Beasley last year.

That's pretty much it. I think after this pick, their gameplan is to go DL (a much deeper position than ILB) in rounds two or three. Not a real in-depth writeup, but the Falcons' needs are clear - they're pretty solid at most other positions.
