NFL odds Week 1: Chiefs open as big favorites over Chargers

With the NFL's 2016 schedule released, it's time to look at the Week 1 NFL odds, which are kind to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are 7.5-point favorites over the San Diego Chargers in Week 1.

That is a big line in the NFL. In fact, that's tied for the biggest line of Week 1. The Eagles are 7.5 point favorites over the Browns while the Seahawks are the same over the Dolphins.

This could change as we move forward. While the bulk of free agency is over, we still have the NFL Draft, where the Chargers have the third overall pick, as well as training camp and roster cuts to come.

That said, the Chiefs are obviously better than the Chargers. Credit San Diego for playing KC tough but the Chiefs are the better team, this is at Arrowhead and it's the season opener. It would be a big upset to see KC lose.
