What a day! Chiefs reach agreement with DL Jaye Howard on a two-year deal.
Derrick Johnson is coming back to the Chiefs on a three-year deal, per the KC Star's Terez Paylor.
The Chiefs are reportedly nearing a deal with OT Mitch Schwartz. Geoff's brother! This looks like a great signing...
KC "might be out" of the Sean Smith chase, according to Bay Area radio host John Middlekauff who also says the Raiders and 49ers are in the leaders in the race.
Chiefs sign LB Jonathan Massaquoi.
S Tyvon Branch heading to the Cardinals on a two-year deal, per CBS.
G Jeff Allen to the Texans for $28 million over four years. Lot of money.
LB Derrick Johnson is as confident as he's been that he can get a deal done in KC, he tells Adam Teicher.
QB Brock Osweiler to the TEXANS! The Broncos lose their QB, which should make the Chiefs the AFC West favorites.
G Jeff Allen update: Report says the Bears, Falcons and possibly Giants are pursuing him. One report says his price tag is $6-7 million per year.

WR Jason Avant is "open" to playing this year, the KC Star reports. He'll be a free agent.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports says slow down on the optimism around Derrick Johnson because the Chiefs are sniffing around another inside linebacker, Jerrell Freeman. Huh? I'm not freaking out ... yet. This one has to get done.

It's been reported the Eagles are still interested in QB Chase Daniel. Hmm. Chiefs GM John Dorsey said he could come back if the price was right.
LB Tamba Hali is coming back to Kansas City on a three-year, $22 million deal. The details will matter in that contract, which looks like a good one for Tamba.
OT Donald Stephenson will join the Broncos when free agency opens. It's been reported as a $5 million per year contract.

CB Sean Smith is being linked to the 49ers and Raiders. Not likely he comes back to KC. CB Janoris Jenkins reportedly got $12 million per year which means Smith is going to make so. Much. Money.
DT Jaye Howard hasn't been linked to anyone yet. Reports say he's looking for $8-9 million per year but we shall see.
G Jeff Allen should do well after I saw Stephenson's deal. Allen could also come back to KC. It's not clear where things stand here but rumors have linked him to Philly.
This random De'Anthony Thomas trade rumor. I guess I'm not stunned there's trade chatter after the bizarre end to his season.
Chiefs have interest in former Raiders WR Rod Streater. Buy low, sell high option as injuries have been an issue. Think Tyvon Branch, who had a similar situation.
DE Mike DeVito wants to keep playing. No word yet if that will be in KC. I would imagine he's not a day one free agent signing.
The Chiefs have been in touch with S Tyvon Branch's camp.
