It was rumored before free agency started the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles had interest in Kansas City Chiefs free agent OL Jeff Allen. Now that free agency is almost here it's being reported that the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons are among those pursuing him.

Giants reporters have also said Allen is a name to watch. The Falcons connection -- Scott Pioli, who is in the front office in Atlanta. The Philly connection would be Doug Pederson, the Chiefs former OC and current head coach of the Eagles.
I'm not sure what kind of money he could be looking at - $5-plus million per year? - but Allen would be worth it in KC, who have repeatedly let linemen hit the market. The Chiefs know who Allen is, like his toughness and he can play any position on the line. I'm not sure what else the Chiefs could be looking for.
As for Jeff Allen, he went on Geoff Schwartz's podcast a few weeks ago to talk about what he's looking for in free agency.
"First off I'm looking for a team that's ready to win," Allen said on the podcast "I think Kansas City, we did a good job this year putting together a good season but we didn't finish the way we wanted to. I'm looking for a team that's going to be a Super Bowl contender. A team where I'm gonna be comfortable with the guys in the room. I want one position where I know I'm going to be playing going into the offseason so I can focus on one thing."
