We've all accepted the Kansas City Chiefs are losing free agent Sean Smith, right? He's reportedly being chased by the Oakland Raiders and three other teams, according to a report from Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
With market set ($12 mil a year), told it’s down to #Raiders and three other teams for prized FA CB Sean Smith

The San Francisco 49ers are another team that's been mentioned, although I don't often buy into the whole unnamed teams thing. Outside of those two I haven't heard these teams named. It could be to the point where there can only be so many bidders because the price will be so high. If Janoris Jenkins reportedly gets $12 million per year, what will Smith make?
The money in free agency this year is even more than I expected. I thought Smith would be looking for a $10 million per year contract but it appears now that he could be making even more than that. Three years ago he was screwed by a bad cornerback market but this year's market is much, much different.
I just hope it's not Oakland. The Raiders signed a big money guard (Kelechi Osemele), big money pass rusher (Bruce Irvin) and they're looking at a big money cornerback. Hmm...
