There are indications that the Kansas City Chiefs locker room just got a lot stronger with the Chiefs formally announcing that WR Rod Streater has signed his contract.
First, let's take the hint from John Dorsey's statement confirming his signing.
"We are happy that we were able to bring Rod to Kansas City," Dorsey said. "He's strong, both mentally and physically, and will provide us an additional threat to our passing game."
Note the mention of mental strength. Streater has been limited to four games in the past two seasons due to injury. That does take some mental strength to continue coming back.
Second, this tweet says so much about Streater the person.
What kind of teammate was Rod Streater? Active for just one game, Raiders teammates voted him winner of Ed Block Courage award
— Jerry McDonald (@Jerrymcd) March 12, 2016
This is voted on solely by teammates. The award is for those "who exemplify commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage." As a reference of what this award means, the Chiefs gave their Ed Block Courage award to Eric Berry.
It looks like the Chiefs got a good one.
