What if I told you that Broncos CB Aqib Talib said he made this play on purpose and didn't care about his fine ...
...because that's exactly what happened.
"It was B.S. flags," Talib said, literally seconds before he admitted he did it on purpose. "One was on our sidelines - the guy was talking on our sideline. One I just did on purpose, and I just had to show him. It's probably going to be a fine, but hey, we're world champs."
So you're telling me that Talib, who was suspended already once this season, admitted that he violently grabbed a defender's facemask and yanked him to the ground? Two days prior to the Super Bowl NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell proposed a rule where two personal fouls would equal an ejection; this was Talib's second personal foul of the first half. Talib's transgression in the video above is much worse than the TJ Ward punch on Jeremy Maclin that got Ward ejected.
With any luck for KC, Talib is suspended for this and the suspension is for the Chiefs game on next year's schedule (which doesn't come out until April). Because while he seems to be a bit of a loose cannon, he's a hell of a player.
(For those who say I'm just salty the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Well ... yeah. It's awful)
