NFL Draft order 2016: Kansas City Chiefs have three picks in the top 100

The Kansas City Chiefs lost C Rodney Hudson to a big contract last year but signed WR Jeremy Maclin to a big contract so I'm not expecting any high compensatory picks when they're announced next month. That means the Chiefs will probably have three draft picks in the top 100 in the 2016 NFL Draft.

We now know the draft order for the first three rounds of the draft. Compensatory picks for other teams will be tacked on. A pick here or there might be traded for a player or for other picks. For the most part, however, this is the order we'll see in April.

The Chiefs did a really good job with their top 100 picks last season. CB Marcus Peters and C Mitch Morse in the first two rounds turned into starters. WR Chris Conley was a key contributor while CB Steven Nelson's future role is yet to be determined. The Chiefs would be doing well if they could have another draft with an impact like that (even without the defensive rookie of the year would be OK).

The Chiefs are drafting one spot ahead of New England (outside of the first round because of DeflateGate ... it's still crazy that the Patriots are losing a first round pick for that). I wonder if Andy and Bill will make a trade, which they did in this position once before for apparently no reason.
