Super Bowl 2017 odds: Patriots, Seahawks, Steelers lead the way

The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl odds at this time last year were 30-1. Heading into the 2016 offseason, the Chiefs 2017 Super Bowl odds are 20-1. This is about right. The Chiefs are a better and deeper team this year than they were last year. Their offense is better than it was with the addition of Jeremy Maciln and the defense, while very good, is not quite at the level of the Super Bowl champion Broncos. GM John Dorsey has some work to do with the Chiefs free agents this year.

The AFC West race next season will be very, very interesting. It's not a stretch to say that the Chiefs could win the AFC West next year. They nearly did it this season after starting 1-5 while Denver will be heading into the offseason with plenty of uncertainty at quarterback. Peyton Manning seems likely to retire while Brock Osweiler is a free agent. The Broncos have decisions to make.

Here are the teams with better odds than the Chiefs: Patriots, Seahawks, Steelers, Cardinals, Packers, Panthers, Bengals, Broncos and Cowboys. That puts the Chiefs at about 10th in the NFL. The Chargers and Raiders have 50-1 odds.
