The Denver Broncos are the 2016 Super Bowl champions which means the NFL season is over. Now we look ahead to next season. We have already reviewed the Kansas City Chiefs 2016 opponents on the schedule but the season ending let's take another look at it now that we know the Chiefs will be playing BOTH Super Bowl teams next season.
Here are the teams on the Chiefs 2016 schedule:
Home: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets
Away: Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Chiefs will play both Super Bowl teams next year: Panthers and Broncos (twice).
Outside of Carolina, the NFC South was not very good. The Chiefs played the NFC North last season and the NFC South seems easier next season. The Chiefs played the AFC North last year but this year they will play the AFC South, which was one of the worst divisions last season.
The Chiefs overall have five games against playoff teams on the 2016 schedule: Broncos (twice), Texans, Panthers and Steelers. Four of those are on the road so the Chiefs could have a strong home schedule.
