Kansas City Chiefs WR and former Mizzou Tiger Jeremy Maclin joined the broadcast of Missouri's basketball game this week where he talked about joining the Chiefs and his head coach Andy Reid.
"Everybody asked me why I chose to come back to the state of Missouri and I felt like the script was written for me," Maclin said. "I couldn't ask to be in a better situation. Both sides fit very well."
They do fit well. The Chiefs gave Maclin a lot of money and you weren't wrong if you stopped to wonder if it was too much money. But after one year, Maclin has shown he's a great fit in KC.
"I think that was definitely up there as well as coming back to the state of Missouri," Maclin said when asked about Andy Reid. "Coach Reid is a great guy. He's a player's coach. At the same time, he's a coach that everybody respects. To have that guy lead your team everything heads int he right direction. You see how close we were last year. You see the time that won it, the team that we beat throughout the season so I'm excited about our future."
