Eric Berry got a pick-6 and gave the ball to his Mom in the stands

Eric Berry is from the Atlanta area. He went through his chemo treatments around there. His family came to the Chiefs-Falcons game. It was billed as a homecoming for him.

That’s the context for why this place is so special:

This has all the feelings! I love, love, love that he got this. It’s not just that he made the interception it’s that he also got the return. That’s really what separates him from others.

Right after he scored, he went over to the stands and gave the ball to his Mom.

This is Berry’s second touchdown of the year after the one in Carolina. Is it possible to love a Chiefs player more than Eric Berry? I’m not sure that it is.

If you need a little more inspiration, here’s Berry to Chiefs.com this week:

“Hopefully, through the way I play the game and the way I perform, people that are battling something or feel like they can’t do it, hopefully they look at me and say, ‘You know what? I can get up today,’ or ‘I will go to this treatment,’ or ‘I will give my best today.’”
