Marcus Peters doesn’t know what that whole Keenan Allen thing was about. Allen, the Chargers WR who tore his ACL against the Chiefs in Week 1, was taunting Peters on Twitter for some reason calling him a “bum”. I didn’t realize there was a beef and apparently neither did Peters.
“I don’t know either, bro,” Peters said via Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest. “It don’t even matter. Let him get healthy, man. I’m praying for a speedy recovery. We need him back on the field. The fans miss him.”
The Chiefs are playing for the No. 2 overall seed in the playoffs this weekend while the Chargers are coming off a loss to the Browns. It just seems like bizarre timing to start calling someone out on Twitter, especially when you’re on IR for the second time in as many years.
“I’m not worried about him,” Peters said per Chiefs Digest. “I’m worried about the Chiefs getting to the Super Bowl. We’re going to the playoffs, baby.”
Allen is a really good player (as evidenced by his $45 million extension) but Peters and the Chiefs will get the last laugh as their season continues after Sunday.
