Chiefs say Jeremy Maclin will not play vs. Falcons

The Kansas City Chiefs are dropping news on Saturday and it’s not good news. The Chiefs have updated Jeremy Maclin’s status for Sunday’s game to OUT. He will not play on Sunday in Atlanta. This will be his fourth straight missed game and it’s obviously disappointing for a Chiefs team that is facing the No. 1 offense in the NFL. The Chiefs will look to Tyreek Hill to fill the void once again.

More bad news is that Phillip Gaines was added to the injury report and listed as questionable with a knee injury. He’s been dealing with his knee on and off this season after tearing his ACL last season. It looks like the Chiefs will get Steven Nelson back though.

Finally, the Chiefs have added defensive lineman TJ Barnes to the active roster from the practice squad. The Chiefs listed Dontari Poe and Kendall Reyes as questionable entering the game so this could be a sign that one or both of them won’t play. Poe didn’t practice all week so I wouldn’t expect him to play but we’ll see.
