Chiefs have two first round picks in these 2016 NFL draft do-over

The Kansas City Chiefs didn’t have a first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft but they walked away with two first round caliber players. I would say that’s a good draft.

Bucky Brooks of NFL.com did a 2016 draft do-over and re-drafted the first round with everything we know now. The Chiefs had two players - WR Tyreek Hill and DE Chris Jones - go in the first round.

He has Tyreek going 24th to the Bengals. “The "do-it-all" playmaker would've added some juice to the Bengals' offense,” Brooks wrote.

He has Chris Jones going 31st to Seattle. “Pete Carroll would love to add another high-motor interior defender with size, strength and toughness in a redo,” Brooks wrote.

I can’t argue with any of those. The Chiefs needed to hit on those picks because they cut a third round pick at the start of the season. I thought that release was the sign of a bad draft but in hindsight this is shaping up to be a good one.
