The Kansas City Chiefs traded Marcus Cooper to the Cardinals for very little before the season. It was one of those trades where you could tell the Chiefs would probably cut him if they couldn’t trade him. Cooper still had an NFL future but it wasn’t going to be in Kansas City.
He goes to the Cardinals and this is how his season went:
#AZCardinals Justin Bethel, Calais Campbell, Marcus Cooper, Mike Iuapti & Chandler Jones were selected as Pro Bowl alternates.

Good for Cooper. He went through the ringer in Kansas City experiencing the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It’s cool to see him come out of that and have success someplace else.
The Chiefs had a few draft picks in the secondary with Marcus Peters, Phillip Gaines and Steven Nelson coming back so it was a numbers game for him in KC. Looking back, I might want to keep Cooper instead of Phillip Gaines, who has been hurt on and off this year.
