Our old pal BJ Kissel has a nice piece over at the Chiefs website looking at some of the stats for this game against the Titans and he came up with a very interesting one.
The Chiefs lead the NFL with seven return touchdowns (three on special teams, four on defense).
The Titans lead the NFL with seven return touchdowns allowed (three fumbles, two interceptions, two punt returns).
The Chiefs are very opportunistic. Eric Berry has a couple of touchdowns this year. Tyreek Hill has returned two and had two called back. Even Demetrius Harris has scored on a return touchdown.
The Chiefs are facing a team that will probably beat them in time of possession because they run it so well and total number of plays, which is something we’ve seen in recent weeks. With fewer offensive opportunities, these return touchdowns become very important.
Good time to point out that Mariota hasn’t thrown a pick in a month. This one might come down to Tyreek.
