AFC playoff picture: Ravens-Patriots result doesn’t change much, Chiefs road to No. 1 seed is difficult

The Kansas City Chiefs road to the No. 1 seed got more difficult after Monday Night Football when the New England Patriots beat the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are a full game behind New England and the Patriots hold some key tiebreakers. This was a game they really needed to lose.

The Patriots finish the season at the Denver Broncos, New York Jets at home and the Miami Dolphins on the road. The Chiefs finish the year with the Titans and Broncos at home and the Chargers on the road.

Monday’s game didn’t change much else. The Steelers are now a full game up on the Ravens in the AFC North. I don’t think I like that. I think I would rather see Baltimore than Pittsburgh. But who knows?

The odds favor the Chiefs getting a first round bye and hosting a home playoff game, something the Chiefs are already preparing for (jinx).
