The early story lines for the Chiefs and Titans game

Let’s start looking ahead to the Tennessee Titans who will visit the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead this weekend.

This Titans team will be a problem for the Chiefs but also a great test. A few things to keep in mind:

The Titans are a top three rushing team. Get ready to hear all about this throughout the week. The biggest matchup on paper is the Titans rushing attack against the Derrick Johnson-less Chiefs run defense.

The Titans haven’t turned it over in four games. They haven’t logged a turnover in five of their last six games. The Chiefs thrive off of turnovers even though they won three straight while collectively losing the turnover battle four to two.

Marcus Mariota has 17 touchdowns to zero interceptions in the red zone this year. It’s not a fluke either. For his career, he has 32 red zone touchdown to zero picks. The Chiefs thrive on stopping teams in the red zone.

These are all key areas of this game for the Chiefs. The odds say the Chiefs are the favorites the Titans on paper match up well with the Chiefs. This is a different type of team than the Raiders or Falcons so I’ll be excited to see yet another test for the Chiefs.
