Chiefs add QB Joel Stave, others to practice squad

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs announced a number of moves concerning the practice squad on Tuesday, including the addition of a new quarterback, Joel Stave.

It's a surprise to see the Chiefs let a number of familiar offensive linemen go given the recent season-ending injury to Parker Ehinger recently and the need for bodies at the position exhibited last season. Jarrod Pughsley, if history shows, will likely be back at some point. That said, Devey is still around.

Stave has spent time on the practice squads of the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks after going undrafted this spring after finishing his career at Wisconsin.
